Maria Deakin

My career as a therapist began in 2000 after completing an HND qualification in Sports Therapy Science. I managed my own sports therapy business for over 23 years. During this time I studied and gained a degree in forensic science which added to my existing knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology.

In 2014, I decided to expand my existing business by introducing a lovely range of holistic/complementary therapies. I developed an interest in holistic/complementary therapies whilst enhancing my own general health and well-being.

Through interest and demand I then went on to train in specialised non-invasive facial treatments. 

After retiring from Sports Therapy in 2023 I now offer holistic therapies, complimentary health therapies, Reiki and specialised face and body treatments exclusively for ladies.  

I believe in ‘continuous professional development’ and my CPD is well within the expectations for a professional holistic and well-being therapist.

I am motivated by the challenge and desire to help people to stay fit and well on all levels of the mind, body and spirit.

My work is interesting and very rewarding which fuels my desire to help and encourage more people to be as healthy and active as they can be. I have undertaken professional studying and training for all of the therapies/treatments offered by Fit n Well.

I live a healthy and active lifestyle and when I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family (including my dog) and friends.
